Ebenezer Creek is located in Effingham County, Georgia and is one of the most pristine Tupelo/ Cypress swamps left in the world. With trees over a thousand years old and an abundance of wildlife, scenic beauty and rich history there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Our tours usually take 2 to 4 hours and are great for beginners as well as seasoned pros. The creek is called backwater, which means it is a smaller water source feeding a larger water source. In this case Ebenezer is fed by 6 – 8 artesian wells which feed to the Savannah River.

It is also called blackwater from the tea like color which is caused by decaying vegetation called “tannin”. The creek has no current and is effected by seasonal flooding which allows some great expeditions through the swamp areas. Paddling through the swamp with a sixty to eighty foot canopy is breath taking.
